Who actually hosts your server

With a reseller, the machine is on the underlying provider’s infrastructure, in the underlying provider’s data centre, under the underlying provider’s terms. DigitalOcean, Vultr and Linode are United States companies operating a US-facing compliance process.

So a DMCA notice about your content lands somewhere it is fully enforceable, and it is answered by a company that has never heard of you and has no reason to argue on your behalf. Your anonymity is with the reseller. Your content is not.

Two intermediaries, two sets of terms

A reseller adds a second party who can suspend you: the provider under its acceptable use policy, and the reseller under its own. Either can end the service, and the one with the hardware does not know you exist.

Here there is one party. The company that holds the machine is the company you bought from, it is on the published entity list, and the acceptable use policy is two prohibitions long and does not grow.

When BitLaunch is the right answer

If you want a Vultr box and dislike cards, buy a Vultr box through BitLaunch. Nothing on this estate replaces DigitalOcean’s tooling or Linode’s regions, and pretending otherwise would be the same kind of overstatement this page is about.

The moment the jurisdiction is the point — because your content draws complaints, or because you want the takedown process to begin with a judge — a payment layer is not the tool. That is what the no-DMCA policy is for.

Questions people actually ask

Is BitLaunch anonymous?

Towards the underlying provider, largely yes: they see the reseller. Towards a complainant, the question is not who paid, it is which company holds the disk and which law reaches it.

Do you take Bitcoin as well?

Eight assets, including Monero, and nothing else — no cards and no processors. The difference is that the server is also outside US jurisdiction, which is the part a payment method cannot do.

Is your tooling as good?

For provisioning, there is an API and it is documented. For the surrounding ecosystem of a mainstream cloud, no, and it would be silly to claim it.

Buy theirs instead if

  • You want DigitalOcean, Vultr or Linode specifically — their API, their images, their regions.
  • The problem you are solving is the payment method, not the jurisdiction.
  • Your content is ordinary and would never attract a takedown notice in the first place.
