Resisting retention is not the same as collecting nothing

Bahnhof’s fight was about how long a Swedish operator must keep records. It was a real fight with a real outcome, and the records in question still exist while they are held.

The approach here is upstream of that argument: an email address, a password hash, a balance and a service record are the whole inventory, access logs are destroyed after 24 hours, and no IP history or netflow is collected at all. That is on the privacy page as a number rather than a sentiment. A retention rule cannot compel what was never written down.

Sweden, and eight companies

Sweden is a good jurisdiction and one jurisdiction. The structure here spreads the same idea across eight registered companies, so a ruling in one country does not travel to the servers in another.

Buying

Bahnhof is an account manager and a contract. This is a configurator that prices a build without an account and a machine live in about fifty-five seconds. Neither is better; one of them is better on a Sunday.

Is Sweden still a good jurisdiction?

For speech, yes, and we run no Swedish region only because eight was where the structure settled. The regions we do run are listed with the entity behind each one.

Can I pay Bahnhof in crypto?
