Identified, or not

Greenhost is a conventional Dutch supplier: you are a named customer with an invoice. For an NGO with an accountant that is the right arrangement and anonymity would be an obstacle.

This estate never learns a name, a country or a document, at any spend level. That is better for a publisher who cannot be connected to their own site and worse for an organisation that needs a VAT invoice. Neither is the superior answer in the abstract.

One jurisdiction, and the notice-and-action regime it sits in

The Netherlands is outside US copyright law and inside an active European notice-and-action practice. A Dutch host is a good answer to an American complainant and an ordinary one to a European court. The jurisdictions guide sets out which is which rather than ranking them.

Where we are not better

We have not stood behind a threatened publication for a decade, because we have not existed for a decade. What we publish instead is the process — every notice, counted, by quarter — which is evidence of a different kind and takes time to accumulate too.

Questions people actually ask

Do you host journalists?

Yes, and the no-DMCA policy and the canary exist for exactly that reader. We do not claim a record we have not built yet.

Can I get an invoice?

A receipt against the account reference, yes. A VAT invoice naming your organisation, no — that would require the identity we deliberately never collect.

Buy theirs instead if

The ethics and the environmental record are part of why you are choosing a host, and that is a legitimate reason.
You are a journalist or an NGO and want a supplier that has stood behind that work before.
An identified, invoiced relationship with a Dutch company is what you actually want.

That list is here because a comparison that cannot name a reason to buy the other one is an advertisement. If any of those three is you, they are the better buy and this page has done its job.
