Cockbox is exactly what it looks like: a small Romanian VPS operation that takes Bitcoin, asks nothing, and charges very little. For a throwaway box that is a perfectly good answer and the price is hard to argue with.

The price is real and so is the trade

We are more expensive and there is no argument to make about that. What the difference buys is the part that only matters when something goes wrong: mitigation already on, an SLA that credits itself, and a published uptime record per region rather than a reputation.

Romania, and the rest of the map

Romania is a genuine answer to the DMCA question. It is one country and one company, so it is also one court. The eight regions here are eight separate companies, which is a different property and a more expensive one to maintain.

When cheap is the right answer

For a scraper, a tunnel endpoint, a test box or anything you would shrug at losing, paying for an SLA is paying for something you will never claim. Buy the cheap one. This page exists for the case where the machine matters.

Not at the very bottom, no. Our entry virtual machine is on the price list with everything else, and it is more than the cheapest thing in this market.

Is Bitcoin-only a problem?

It is a transparency problem rather than a privacy one: Bitcoin is a public ledger. Monero is the only widely accepted asset that is private by default, which is why it is on our payments page.

Buy theirs instead if

It is a throwaway box and the monthly price is the only number that matters.
Bitcoin is how you pay and a second asset would not help you.
Nothing depends on the machine being up next week.
