Paying for hosting in cryptoThe payment is the part most people get wrong.

A host can refuse to ask your name and still know it, because the payment told it. Which rail you use is not a convenience question.

Why there are no cards here

A card payment carries a name, a billing address and a bank relationship, and it arrives with a processor whose rules the host has agreed to. It also carries a chargeback, which is the reason hosts that take cards end up asking for documents: fraud loss forces the check.

Removing the card removes all of it at once. That is not a stylistic choice about crypto — it is the only way a no-identity account is coherent rather than decorative.

Which asset to actually use

Nine are accepted; they are not equivalent. The live list, with confirmation counts and typical clearing times, is on the payment methods page. The short version:

If you wantUseWhy
Privacy in the payment itselfMonero (XMR)The only asset here that is private by default. Amounts and parties are not on a public ledger.
Lowest fee, fastest clearUSDT on TronCents to send, clears in about a minute. The trade is that the ledger is public and the issuer can freeze.
The most portable optionBitcoin (BTC)Accepted everywhere, public ledger, roughly twenty minutes to clear.
Something you already holdETH, USDC, LTC, SOL, TRX, BNBAll accepted. Pick the network in the checkout before you send.

The mistake that cannot be undone

Several of these assets exist on more than one network. USDC on Solana sent to an Ethereum address is gone — not delayed, not recoverable by us or by anybody. The checkout asks you to choose the network before it shows an address, and that step is the one worth slowing down for.

  1. Pick the asset, then pick the network, then copy the address the checkout gives you.
  2. Send the exact amount shown. Underpayment is credited rather than lost, but it will not start the service until it is topped up.
  3. Wait for the confirmation count listed for that asset. Nothing is charged before you send and nothing is held after it clears.

What happens to the money afterwards

It becomes a balance. Services are funded from it on their renewal date and not before, the balance does not expire, and unused balance is returned on request to an address you give. That is clauses 3 and 4 rather than a goodwill gesture.

Questions people actually ask

Can I pay for hosting with Monero?

Yes, and it is the asset to choose if the payment itself is part of your threat model. It is the only one of the nine that is private by default.

Do I need an account before I can pay?

You need one to hold the balance, and it takes an email address and a password. You can configure the whole order first — the configurator does not ask for an account until the last step.

What if the price of the coin moves while I am sending?

The amount is fixed against your invoice when the address is issued. Ordinary network volatility during the send does not change what you owe.

Are there card, PayPal or bank transfer options?

No, and there will not be. Every one of them reintroduces the identity requirement that the rest of this business is arranged to avoid.
