What "RDP" usually means, and what it means here
A great deal of what is advertised as cheap RDP is one Windows machine with many users signed into it, sold as if it were a server. It is slow when somebody else is busy, you are not an administrator, and what your neighbour does lands on your address.
What is sold here is a private machine with full Administrator, a dedicated IPv4 and nobody else on it. That is why the price starts where it does rather than lower.
The licence, which is the part people are quiet about
The Windows Server licence is included and licensed through Microsoft’s provider programme. That is worth stating explicitly because the alternative — a volume key that works until it does not — is common at the bottom of this market and turns into an unbootable machine at the worst possible moment.
Windows 11 Pro and Windows 10 LTSC are offered on a bring-your-own-licence basis. Desktop editions cannot be licensed through the provider programme, and we would rather say that than sell you something that stops activating.
Which version
2025 unless something you run has not been tested against it. 2022 is the conservative default and the one most third-party software currently targets. 2019 remains for software that is pinned to it, which is more common than anybody would like.
Windows Server on dedicated hardware is available where the workload needs the whole machine — a database, a build farm, an application server with real memory requirements. Full IPMI is included, which on Windows is the difference between a bad update and a lost weekend.
Questions people actually ask
Is the licence really included?
For Windows Server, yes, in the monthly price, with no separate line. For Windows 11 Pro and 10 LTSC it is bring-your-own, because desktop editions cannot be licensed through the provider programme.
Can I install my own software?
Full Administrator, so yes. The acceptable use policy is two prohibitions long and applies the same way it does everywhere else here.
Is it a shared session?
No. A private machine with nobody else signed in. That is the main thing separating this from most of what is sold as RDP.
What it is genuinely good at
- The licence is in the price and licensed properly through Microsoft’s provider programme, rather than a key that stops activating.
- Full Administrator on a machine nobody else is logged into, which is what separates this from most of what is sold as RDP.
- Rebuild and snapshot from the panel, and any of the eight regions at the same price.

The workload does not need Windows. It is a licence cost and an attack surface you would be paying for out of habit.
